Your role at OTOKO®
You want to know how servers, end devices and networks work together. This apprenticeship profile introduces you to the installation, operation and troubleshooting of IT systems. You learn to document technical tasks properly and help users in an understandable way.
Setting up systems and understanding faults
A computer has no connection or a user cannot sign in. You learn to check connectivity, DNS, permissions and services step by step. Under guidance, you set up systems and document changes. Backup and secure administration are practised through learning assignments. You record how a cause was identified and how the solution can be verified.
Your responsibilities
- Learn about operating systems, networks and basic server services through practical tasks.
- Contribute to setting up and supporting end devices and IT infrastructure.
- Narrow down faults under guidance, test solutions and document the results.
- Learn the fundamentals of access rights, backup and secure system administration.
- Analyse network, DNS and login issues under guidance using simple diagnostic steps.
- Document the setup and recovery of test systems and verify them afterwards.
What you bring
You do not need to bring a complete technical specialisation when you start. What matters is interest, willingness to learn and readiness to complete practical tasks carefully.
- Interest in IT systems and in understanding why a connection or application is not working.
- Care, willingness to learn and respectful communication with users and the team.
- Willingness to coordinate apprenticeship assignments with vocational school and workplace requirements.
Additional strengths
This knowledge is helpful, but you do not need to have all of it at once. In your application, describe where you have already gained practical experience and which areas you would like to explore in greater depth.
- Initial experience with personal computers, networks or operating-system installation.
- Internships, school projects or clearly documented personal IT projects.
