Services from OTOKO®

Tomorrow’s cryptography starts with your inventory.

We record your cryptography, prioritize where action is needed and support the transition of applications, connections, PKI and HSMs. An elusive question about the future becomes a verifiable plan with concrete technical work packages.

How can we support you?

Post-quantum cryptography, or PQC, refers to algorithms intended to remain resistant even against attacks using powerful quantum computers. For companies, the first question is where vulnerable algorithms are used and how long data and signatures need to stay protected. OTOKO® combines inventory, risk assessment and technical implementation. Switching algorithms alone is not enough: libraries, protocols, devices and counterparts must work together.

01

Crypto inventory

Which of your applications use which encryption, and who can change it? We record cryptographic dependencies and assign them to your systems and owners. The inventory creates a verifiable basis for further planning.

02

PQC roadmap

Not every system needs to be migrated at the same time. We assess protection duration, attack surface, technical dependencies and migration effort. This results in a sequence of well-founded measures, responsibilities and decision points.

03

Crypto agility

Hard-coded algorithms and rigid data formats make every change expensive. We examine these dependencies and adjust software, configuration and protocol integration so that cryptographic algorithms can be evolved in a controlled way.

PQC for PKI & HSM

Long-lived certificates and signature keys need a particularly well-coordinated transition. We review your certificate hierarchies and HSM connections, develop a suitable target architecture and test new algorithms with the applications that actually verify them.

05

PQC testing

Whether new cryptography works in your environment cannot be judged by the algorithm’s name. We build a clearly scoped test path and check clients, gateways, applications and HSMs together. You receive measurements and a well-founded recommendation for the next step.

PQC governance

A cryptography transition takes longer than a single project. We embed inventory, decisions and responsibilities in your existing processes. This keeps changes to applications, suppliers and recommendations manageable and traceable.

Scoping the work properly

A clear starting point. A shared goal.

Planning is based on protection needs and the proven support of the specific components. Product roadmaps do not constitute approval for a production configuration. Hybrid transitions, fallback rules and remaining risks are documented explicitly.

Bring your situation, the systems involved and the result you want. We clarify which service enables the next step and what preparation is required for it.

Discuss your situation

How the services fit together

Prepare for post-quantum cryptography from a solid starting position.

We help you capture cryptographic dependencies and prepare a technically well-founded transition. This covers inventory, risk assessment, crypto agility, PKI and HSM dependencies, as well as tests and evidence.

Preparation instead of a blanket promise of replacement

PQC affects more than a single library or one certificate type. Communication partners, storage formats and products with long lifecycles can limit the switch. We make these dependencies visible and distinguish preparatory architecture work from a transition that is already practically possible.

Priority follows the required protection period, business significance and migration lead time. Confidential data with a long lifespan needs a different approach than short-lived information. Decisions are documented together with their assumptions; a supposedly exact date for future quantum computers is not a solid basis for planning.

Connect technical suitability with organizational governance

A pilot tests the specific combination of algorithms, product versions and applications. We examine functionality, interoperability and operational impact. Missing support is recorded as a dependency and feeds into the roadmap and vendor communication.

In parallel, we organize responsibilities, procurement questions and the maintenance of evidence. This keeps the inventory and decisions current when new products are introduced and changes are made. A PQC roadmap is a living work plan; it replaces neither required approvals nor proof of the suitability of a specific implementation.

Guidance for your project

This is how your project could begin.

Possible starting point: Your team knows some cryptographic components but not their full dependencies. We start with a defined business area, link the findings to the required protection period and to owners, and use this to select the first technical pilot.

We align the starting point with your goals and existing systems.

Before the first step

Your questions about Post-Quantum Cryptography.

Can we start with a single service?

Yes. The 6 services can be planned as clearly scoped work packages. Together we clarify the situation, the prerequisites and the result you need first. The subpages show the respective scope and the technical decisions.

How is the specific project scope defined?

Before implementation, we agree on goals, affected systems, involvement, results and acceptance criteria. Open technical questions can first be clarified in a current-state review or a pilot. Additional tasks are assessed for their impact on effort and schedule.

What happens after the handover?

Documentation, briefing and responsibilities are covered in the engagement. If OTOKO® takes on ongoing tasks, we agree on an operating scope for them, including service hours and escalation paths. Your team can also take the results forward itself or with existing partners.

Your project

Which task would you like to solve?

Describe your situation and the desired result. The selected service will be included in the contact request.
