School Internship – Insights into IT & Technology (all genders)

Would you like to find out whether IT and technology are right for you? This general school internship lets you discover different areas of work at OTOKO®. You do not yet need to choose AI, software, cloud or cybersecurity and you do not need professional experience. Together, we clarify which insights fit your interests, timeframe and your school's requirements.

Software, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, systems integration, HSM & KEY, PQC and Enterprise offer different perspectives on IT. Depending on the timeframe, supervision and available learning assignments, you may gain insight into several areas. You can see how an application is created, systems are connected or data is protected. We coordinate the plan with you and, where relevant, your school; insight into every area is not guaranteed.

• Get to know teams and their work and ask questions about different professions.
• Complete suitable small learning assignments under guidance, such as a website, a data overview or examining a test system.
• Record results for your internship report and discuss them with a supervisor.
• Explore which topics suit you; your internship does not need to be limited to a single specialisation.

You need neither professional experience nor an established specialist focus. We will agree suitable insights and learning assignments with you.

• You are looking for a school internship and can tell us your school's requirements and timeframe.
• You are interested in technology and willing to ask questions and try new tasks.
• You handle information and equipment carefully and keep to agreements.

This knowledge is helpful, but you do not need to have all of it at once. In your application, describe where you have already gained practical experience and which areas you would like to explore in greater depth.

• Initial experiments with websites, programming, PCs or data are welcome but not required.
• A short note about your favourite topics helps us prepare suitable insights.

After the internship, you should be better able to assess which technical tasks and training paths interest you. The focus is on guided discovery and simple learning assignments. Responsibility for production customer systems and access to confidential customer data are not part of these learning assignments.

Cologne and remote work are possible. We will coordinate the timeframe, supervision and any in-person appointments according to your school's requirements and the planned learning assignments.

This offer is intended for a school internship, regardless of any technical specialisation previously chosen. Its duration and organisation depend on the agreed learning assignments and school requirements. It does not constitute employment as a specialist.
