Your role at OTOKO®

You want to understand how a requirement becomes a working application. This apprenticeship profile focuses on programming, data storage, testing and collaboration within the development team. You do not need to have mastered every tool yet; what matters is interest, willingness to learn and careful work.

Programming through transparent tasks

You learn how an input in the browser reaches a database through an API. Small tasks make each step visible: validating a field, adding an endpoint or testing an error case. You use version control and discuss changes with the team. In doing so, you practise explaining the purpose of your code. Specific projects are selected according to your learning progress and the apprenticeship programme.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute to applications step by step and apply fundamental programming concepts to clear, manageable tasks.
  • Learn about APIs, databases and user interfaces and understand how they work together.
  • Test code, reproduce errors and discuss solutions with the team.
  • Document work results and translate functional requirements into manageable implementation steps.
  • Complete small programming tasks using version control and check them with simple tests.
  • Trace and present a user flow from the form through to data storage.

What you bring

You do not need to bring a complete technical specialisation when you start. What matters is interest, willingness to learn and readiness to complete practical tasks carefully.

  • Interest in software development and willingness to learn new concepts through practical work.
  • Patience when analysing problems and a careful approach to tasks and feedback.
  • Willingness to collaborate and coordinate the training company, vocational school and learning assignments.

Additional strengths

This knowledge is helpful, but you do not need to have all of it at once. In your application, describe where you have already gained practical experience and which areas you would like to explore in greater depth.

  • Initial personal programming projects, school projects or practical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, a programming language or relational databases.
