Your role at OTOKO®
You make cloud costs understandable and work with technical and commercial stakeholders on sound decisions. Savings opportunities are weighed against availability, growth and contractual commitments. You help customers allocate expenditure and manage consumption over the long term.
Consumption, cost models and commitments
Cloud spending becomes manageable when resources can be assigned to projects and owners. You clarify tagging, shared costs and outliers. You assess commitments based on stable usage and different growth scenarios. Rightsizing is reviewed with workload owners to maintain performance and availability. After implementation, you compare the forecast with the actual impact and document the underlying assumptions.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse cloud bills, resource usage and allocation models and develop reliable cost reports.
- Assess rightsizing, shutdown schedules and other technical optimisations together with workload owners.
- Review commitments and usage discounts based on evidence-backed consumption forecasts and explain risks clearly.
- Establish budgets, forecasts and responsibilities and track the impact of agreed measures.
- Allocate costs by workload, team and resource type and produce transparent forecasts.
- Compare commitments and rightsizing based on utilisation, lock-in and operational risks.
What you bring
What matters is demonstrable experience that is relevant to the role. It may come from appropriate vocational training, a degree, professional practice or a well-founded career change. We will align the specific level of responsibility with your knowledge and experience.
- Experience with cloud cost analysis or technology-related controlling.
- Understanding of cloud resources, billing models and interpretation of usage data.
- Ability to present figures transparently and connect technical and commercial perspectives.
Additional strengths
This knowledge is helpful, but you do not need to have all of it at once. In your application, describe where you have already gained practical experience and which areas you would like to explore in greater depth.
- Experience with Azure Cost Management, FinOps tools or commitment planning.
- Knowledge of automation, BI or organisation-wide tagging strategies.
What matters in this role
You deliver transparent optimisation proposals with assumptions, responsibilities and measurable results. Blanket discount promises are no substitute for a reliable assessment of actual usage.
